The Warhol is pleased to present the world premiere of @1minworld, by performance art duo Princess, composed of Alexis Gideon and Michael O’Neill. ONLINE EVENT.

@1minworld is a video song cycle and live performance piece about social media and our love-hate relationship with cell phone culture. Told through 15 one-minute danceable, vivid Pop Art music videos, this hyper-meta work is the first album built for and released exclusively on Instagram, using the social media platform as a means for delivery as well as material for the content. This piece is also among the first to leverage -- rather than mask -- the absence of a live audience; at moments Princess breaks the fourth wall in ways that could only happen in an online experience.

The premiere features a recorded live performance of @1minworld in the Warhol’s intimate theater. The duo performs alongside the videos and a conversation between Jose Diaz (Warhol Chief Curator), Ben Harrison (Warhol Curator of Performing Arts), Alice Gray Stites (21c Museum Hotel Chief Curator), and Princess will follow.
