From the first time seeing the Abba girls to discovering the red cropped androgyny of Annie, the mystical wonder of Kate, the awe-inspiring soul of Aretha, the searing emotional spectrum of Cyndi the earthy hippy spirit of Stevie, the steel power of Cher, the unapologetic hunger of Madonna, the sparkling fun of Kylie and then as I grew I dug deeper to find the source with Billie, Ella and Nina! These artists and so many more have profoundly influenced me - musically and as deeply connected humans. Tonight 'Your Songs' will illuminate these women's work.
