Reba McEntire to Stream ‘An Evening With Reba & Friends’ From the Ryman

Fans not fortunate enough to get tickets to attend Reba McEntire‘s  Not the Fancy: An Evening with Reba and Friends, held on Sunday, November 5 at the Ryman Auditorium are in luck. The show, hosted by her former Reba co-star, Melissa Peterman, will stream exclusively on Veeps.

The Ryman show comes less than a month after the October 10 release of Not That Fancy: Simple Lessons on Living, Loving, Eating, and Dusting Off Your Boots.

McEntire wrote Not That Fancy: Simple Lessons on Living, Loving, Eating and Dusting Off Your Boots during the pandemic, and after the loss of her mother, Jacqueline, who passed away in early 2020. The book not only includes stories and recipes, but plenty of pictures, dating back to McEntire’s earliest years.

“It was starting at the beginning, what is on my computer and my phone and just dragging them over into on my desktop and saying, ‘I’d like this,'” McEntire shared of her process. “And if that had been out before, we stayed away from that because we wanted new pictures, and the Lord knows we had them. So it was the pictures, it was the memories. And that took a lot of time because I’d always say, ‘Oh look at this picture. What do you think about that?'”

While she shares some heartfelt memories in her new book, which recently topped The New York Times Best-Seller list, the 68-year-old made it a light-hearted look at her own life, from her childhood to present day.

“The book is a fun book,” McEntire explained on the Today Show. “Sometimes you have books, autobiographies, that are really diving into stuff. This is just a fun book. You can look through it. You can read it front to back. It’s got recipes, stories, new pictures people haven’t seen before. Talking about my family, my faith, my friends. And then recipes that are from the restaurant in Otoka, Oklahoma, called ‘Reba’s Place.’”

McEntire also released the Not That Fancy acoustic album, which features her current single, “Seven Minutes in Heaven.” The song and video honor the Oklahoma native’s late mother.

“The music video for ‘Seven Minutes In Heaven’ is just really sweet and simple,” McEntire previously said (via CMT). “We tried to imagine what it might be like to go to heaven and sit down with someone you’ve lost. The heartbreaker is that you only get to spend seven minutes with them. For me, that person is my Mama. I hope that the fans can imagine who that person is for them and find some comfort in knowing that someday, they’ll get to spend forever with that person they love.”

Veeps All Access subscribers can access the show for free as part of their subscription. The show will air live, beginning at 7:30 PM CT. There will not be any rewatch options. Tickets are also available for only $12.99. More information is available at Veeps.com.
