Kobe-born, Brooklyn-based trumpeter Takuya Kuroda is dedicated, and his eighth studio record, Everyday, is proof of that. Since 2022’s Midnight Crisp praised by PopMatters as a ‘future classic’ Kuroda has continued his daily pursuit of the ‘perfect blend of production and organic performance.’ Everyday dives deeper into hip-hop and neo-soul, delivering a triumph of genre-blending modern jazz with sure-footed, virtuosic playing on trumpet, synth, and Rhodes.
