Texas blues-rock singer and guitarist Ally Venable, known for her dazzling live shows and glitter dresses, started singing at age 4 and playing guitar at 12. A Kilgore, Texas native, she formed her first band at 13, inspired by Stevie Ray Vaughan. Her albums No Glass Shoes (2016) and Puppet Show (2018) earned East Texas Music Awards, while Texas Honey (2019) hit #2 on the Billboard Blues chart. Heart of Fire (2021) also charted, featuring mentor Kenny Wayne Shepherd. “Ally is the future of blues,” says Mike Zito. In 2022, Guitar World named her one of the top young guitarists. Venable has toured with Buddy Guy, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and others, and released a new album in the spring of 2023 featuring Buddy Guy and Joe Bonamassa. Her band includes Ally Venable (vocals, guitar), EJ Bedford (bass, keyboard), and Isaac Pulido (drums).
