The CSI Madrigals are a small, auditioned ensemble that specializes in a cappella choral work. The “Mad About” series began in 2011, as a showcase for contemporary a cappella music. Each year, a new theme is selected. In addition to a number of jazz standards including Georgia on My Mind, My Funny Valentine, and Stolen Moments, the concert features jazz settings of tunes like James Taylor’s How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You) and Stevie Wonder’s I Wish. In addition to a number of a cappella settings, this year’s concert will also feature a student instrumental combo and guest artists Dr. Ben Britton and Michael Frew.
