Skylines is an exciting new band playing the music of the legendary progressive rock band, Camel. The band's 2024 shows will feature excerpts from Camel’s classic The Snow Goose, Camel’s best-known and loved album. Skylines' set will also feature top tracks from Camel’s classic albums such as Breathless, Rain Dances and many more. Splink are a four-piece band that plays original compositions spanning a wide range of genres including Dub, Jazz, Prog, Psychedelia, Rock, Blues, Funk and the occasional Indian influence… Formed in 2014, we have been described as “ an instrumental band that offers a solid and elaborate … violin-driven sound, “ (Prog Rock Journal July 2022) and been compared to OzricTenticles, Pink Floyd, Causa Sui, Zappa, Soft Machine, Syd Arthur, Rush Curved Air, Caravan, Led Zeppelin, Jethro Tull and many other mixed-genre bands. We are captained by Matt James on Guitar, Synth and Vocals who, despite his modesty is the creative genius behind the ideas from which our songs grow. Tim Chapman is the Force behind the drum kit and is known for his distinctive style, love of Star Wars, and attention to detail. Together their musicality and longstanding friendships are the founding blocks on which Splink is built. Added to this team are Andy Crickett, on Bass and Vikki Ings on the Violin, who’s melodies have been described as “catchy. No Rules Music.
